Canadian startup Transformer Table first came into the limelight after the launch of a transforming table that could expand to provide more space. Over again, the company has come up with another transforming piece of furniture – a modular couch that can be configured in different ways according to the space. It can be used as an accent chair, a sofa, a sectional, a bed, a lounger or even a playground for kids depending on your requirment.
Dubbed Transformer Couch, it weighs 70lbs and measures 32-inches long, 45-inches high and 32-inches deep. It is delivered in a box and users are required to assemble it on their own, which seems a relatively easy job than most flat-pack furniture out there.
Each sofa comprises multiple modules that can be used in different ways and are attached using specialized connectors. It is the placement of modules that decides what it will function like.
The seat frame of the Transformer Couch is made of hardwood with sinuous steel springs and Italian webbing while armrests and backrests are built from heavy-duty brushed steel rods. Seating cushions are made with three 2.2 high-density foam layers. The upholstery covers are available in different colors and even in microfiber leather. The covers are stain and water-resistant and can also be removed for washing.
Transformer Couch is a versatile piece of furniture that can serve different purposes at home. It comes with replaceable components, which is a cool feature that will enhance the life of the product for years. Completely re-arrangeable and configurable, this sofa offers endless configuration possibilities. Users can add any number of seats to create a setup that fits their space and needs.

The transforming sofa is currently being crowd-funded through Kickstarter and is receiving an overwhelming response. It has been touted as the most funded furniture and most funded Canadian project in Kickstarter history.
If you wish to own one, you can back the project for a minimum of $1,217 to get a two-seater sofa.
