Remember the floating bed that retracts back into the ceiling to save space? Unlike that one from Chongqing in China, here we have another floating bed, this one from Benjamin Rollins Caldwell of BRC Designs. On first look, this birdseye bed looks magically floating in mid-air, which is indeed the first impression that one will have once this unique bed is installed. But on a closer look, we notice that the bed is probably nailed on the side of the headboard and is attached with two ropes suspending from the ceiling on the foot side.
Made from reclaimed birdseye maple wood, the floating bed also available in a center post model is awesome, solid and eco-friendly. There is no word on the price of the bed yet.
