Great news for cartoon fans! The world’s first Cartoon Network Hotel will soon be opening in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The nine-acre property has no shortage of fun for fans with 159 character-theme guest suites. This fun-filled hotel is situated near two familiar landmarks, Dutch Wonderland and Tanger Outlets Lancaster. It’ll be hard to miss from the highway as a large cartoon character from the network’s “Adventure Time” is sitting on top of the roof.
The Cartoon Network has partnered with Dutch Wonderland’s owner Palace Entertainment to accomplish this project. Earlier a Continental Inn built in 1971, the hotel has been refashioned into a colorful building with cartoon drawings on the bright colored walls.
On entering the front door, you’ll feel as if you have stepped into the amazing world of cartoon characters. There are large staircases and cartoons all around. Toward the right, there is the hotel’s gift shop where you can get figurines, hats, bags, mugs, socks and other merchandise. On the other side of the lobby is the Cartoon kitchen that serves food from cartoon network shows. Adding to the fun, there is a café and arcade as well. There is even a Kids’ Kitchen where culinary and craft classes will be provided.
