Antique pieces hold a special value for the time they have already been used. Ontario-based Riverwood Acoustics is redefining the concept with the Hudson Bluetooth speaker.

Combining old materials with new technology, it is a one-of-a-kind antique modern speaker. Its casing is made from driftwood dating back at least 300 years and it uses Bluetooth with Qualcomm aptX technology.

The wood logs used to make the Hudson Bluetooth Speaker were retrieved from the bottom of the Ottawa River, kiln dried and then handcrafted into speaker boxes.

Aptly called riverwood, it boasts superior tone, intricate grain patterns and rich color that altogether make the speaker different from standard wooden speakers.

The Hudson Bluetooth Speaker is equipped with a low distortion 50-watt amplifier, dual high-fidelity 3-inch full-range drivers with 3.5-inch bottom-fired passive radiators to deliver quality output.

Whether you place it on a shelf or a table, it will be an attention-grabbing device due to its compact and elegant design. It can be purchased at Riverwood Acoustics and Amazon for $600.
