Airbnb is all the rage these days, it has seemingly changed the way people are renting out their properties. You may have seen plenty of examples where barns, garages, and even churches are converted into Airbnb vacation rentals. In a similar conversion in Central Florida, the Sanford fire station has been turned into rental accommodation, and it is available on Airbnb for $135 a night.
Built as a fire station in 1887, the building now features 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a 2,400-square-feet SOHO-like loft for guests to feel comfortable and secure.
The interior boasts brick walls, wooden flooring, white painted doors, exposed wood beams, and many other vintage architectural features.
The first floor houses a custom kitchen with dining table and a living room that opens to a rooftop deck. The main suite has a fireplace, large windows and a huge walk-in closet with customized shelving. With four beds, there is enough space to sleep six guests.

The Firehouse has been featured on HGTV and has bagged the ”Robert J. Sturn Beautification” Award for exceptional renovation.
A stay at the fire station is a must for any vintage architecture aficionado. Though, anyone wanting to explore vibrant art, dining, and culture of Downtown Sanford can also rent it out.
The famous Lake Monroe is in close proximity of rental, where guests can take a relaxing stroll by the lake and indulge in riverboat tours.
