This creative birdhouse with interiors that resemble a living room is built by Wildlife expert and photographer Kate MacRae. She wanted to observe the behavior of birds in a mini sitting room setup, thus she created a living room and pitched a Hikvision minidome IP camera inside a birdhouse.
Talking about the idea, Kate said,
I am hoping this footage will provide me with a platform to engage young and old to teach them more about the wonderful wildlife on our doorstep!
This birdhouse is decked with 1/12 dollhouse furniture that is securely glued down meticulously to leave enough breeding space. Things inside the birdhouse include a wall shelf with books, vase, and a cat dummy on one side and a corner shelf with a mini planter on the other.
The bird box is internally lit with an LED light that is powered by a sensor which automatically switches the light off at night.

Check out live-streamed footage from the bird birdhouse Kate had updated on her blog WildlifeKate, it is really engaging and delightful. A blue tit can be seen pecking the kitty, maybe to confirm that she is not real. The bird can also be seen collecting moss inside and working on building her own cozy abode.
