The Danish consumer electronics company Bang & Olufsen has announced its Beosound Edge wireless speaker, which will be showcased at the IFA 2018. Designed by London-based designer Michael Anastassiades, the speaker boasts a classic round shape with contemporary chic appeal, making it different from the most of the wireless speakers in the market. It stands on the floor or can be mounted onto a wall.
The Beosound Edge wireless speaker packs within a slim 10-inch woofer, two 4-inch midrange drivers, and two 3/4-inch tweeters boosted and balanced by six onboard class-D amplifiers. It comes packed with an active base port that ensures precision audio quality at even high sound. When playing audio at high volume, it opens up to broadcast more bass and closes to ensure accurate bass at low volume.

When placed on the floor, it can be rolled back and forth on the curvy base to adjust volume. The Beosound Edge has built-in Chromecast, allowing users to connect it to Bang & Olufsen’s many other speakers to enjoy multiroom audio. With such luxurious design and cool features, it is obvious to cost much higher.
It costs about $3,500 and will be available in stores in November 2018.
