There is a famous saying, don’t judge a book by its cover, but in the tiny house circuit, a cover or shall I say ‘the exterior’ matters the most. So when I saw the 31ft 9600NLR tiny house in Australia, I was immediately hooked by its exquisite design. From finishing and color chemistry to a light-filled interior and functional kitchen, everything had my heart and I couldn’t resist writing about this tiny home.
Built on a triple-axle trailer, the mobile home boasts SIP external wall frame with weathertex weathergroove 300 smooth structural insulated panels. The exterior also has vertical shiplap cedar cladding that blends nicely with the metal body. The single-level home also boasts a private queen bedroom, separate extended living and dining spaces, a full kitchen, and a bathroom.
An aluminum double-glazed sliding door with a flyscreen welcomes you inside the home. The interior of the 9600NLR tiny house looks relatively spacious and open, courtesy of large glazing that allow natural light in. Upon entering the home, you’ll be graced by the living room equipped with a large sofa. The maker, Designer Eco Tiny Homes, has also added a large window in the living room to keep it bright and airy.
To the left is the bedroom of the house. Encompassed by glazing on three sides, the bedroom is light-filled and spacious to accommodate two people. To the right side of the living room are the kitchen and bathroom of the micro-dwelling. Speaking of the former, it consists of cabinets, a countertop, a sink, a two-burner cooktop, a refrigerator, and an oven. The bathroom features an enclosed glass shower, toilet, and vanity sink.

The maker has finished the interior in three separate wall linings. The Australian tiny house maker has used 9mm V grooved MDF sheets for the internal wall lining while opting for Aquapanel wall lining for the bathroom. Not to mention, 6mm Hardiflex sheets are used for bathroom ceiling lining. Overall, the 9600NLR tiny house is a stunning and big abode for a couple.
