Suspended between two trees about 3m above the ground using strong cables, this spherical, cedar-clad treehouse pod in Cornwall, United Kingdom is one of the most unique treehouses to look out for across the world. This ball-shaped vacation cabin, named the Lost Meadow Treepod is designed to leave minimum impact on the trees while holding up the overall weight. Guests have to climb up through a wooden staircase, and inside they find two single beds with a ceiling window to watch stars at night.
The treehouse pod is built using sustainable, recycled and natural materials, while its design is inspired by the early zeppelin engineering. Its double-glazed windows, thin profile, and elevated design provide uninterrupted views of the surrounding landscape while sitting inside the vacation cabin. The whole interior space is divided for different functions – there’s a kitchenette, as well as a sitting area. Just next to the Lost Meadow Treepod lies a kitchen hut, a camp-fire circle, and a riverside living room in need of extra living space. For energy requirements, it uses a solar array and a wood-burning fireplace is used to warm up the interior space.
